Among the tens of thousands of images in the CRA Photo Library are many hundred which we are unable to identify in some way - usually as regards the location, but also in other ways such as the type of working, odd events being depicted - and people, including staff. In most instances it is now probably too late to be possible to identify staff names, but we could be lucky in some instances.
On this page we will post from time to time a small selection of these images in the hope that visitors to the site may be able to help identify them as appropriate. Although our collections concentrate on our core area of interest they also include many images from outside it, including shipping, many of very high quality, and we will also included these in the hope that some of you will know the locations, etc. If you can make any suggestions to help us in this way on any of the images, please email Peter Robinson at archivist@cumbrianrailwaysassociation.org.uk
